comment 地 pronunciation variation
Sorry I didn't check the Youtube version. But I don't think speaking non-standard Mandarin is a "accusation ". Actually I know some people from Hong Kong don't care about that (whether they can speak standard Mandarin) at all.

comment What is the chinese term for “StackOverflow”
I think this is a interesting question though closed. Many foreign companies are likely to have a native name when entering Chinese market. For example, HP for 惠普, MircoSoft for 微软, Google for 谷歌 and recently, LinkedIn for 领英. I think if someday StackOverflow can enter Chinese market, it'd also consider to have a native name. Actually I have one suggestion - 思达客栈. means thoughts, means arrival, 客栈 the name for some kind of traditional form of hotel+restaurants in China.

comment What is the difference between 工作上 and 工作
I'm just curious are you native? (please don't take it personally) I think in this particular case, a child would be more likely to say 妈妈,我在看书 or 妈妈,我在学习. Personally when using , I often use it with 事情 following, for example: 这些都是工作上的事情.

comment What is the difference between 工作上 and 工作
Chinese language is not that strict as English - I agree. But I don't think Chinese people will ever say something like 我在看学习上的书. That is too weird.

comment What is the difference between 工作上 and 工作
Sometimes this happens. For example, you are a professional engineer at NASA, your family would surely ask you a lot when they see your equipments. In this case you may answer 那个是我工作用的东西 or 那个是我上班用的东西 rather than 那个是我工作上的东西

comment Differences between 饭,菜, 食 and 餐
The question is not that poor. I am sure it's quite confusing for all Chinese learners. The key to this kind of questions is that you should understand the meaning of a character in a word. Just like in English we understand a word in a sentence. For example, itself has a lot of meanings and it's too abstract that people are very unlikely to just say , instead, they say 吃饭(eat something, can be any kind of food) or 米饭(rice) or 要饭(begging).

I don't have any trouble speaking that. So far as I know, my other Chinese friends can also handle this.

comment Headline: “YouTube创始人从雅虎手中收购Delicious”. What is the purpose of “手中”
I don't think it's emphasis. Removing 手中 doesn't just undo a emphasis meaning. It's totally weird to say 从他抢走了XX
