comment What is a one-character translation of the English word “Freedom”?

comment What is a one-character translation of the English word “Freedom”?

comment 该 - How do you know when to use it? Nothing to do with 应该
该 is just like "this" or "that" in English. It refers to the thing which is being talked about in an article. One thing I guess as important is it is only used in written language for this meaning.

comment 有一天: past as well as future?
In English, it is equal to "some day". AFAIK, "some day" can also be used in both future and past contexts. Hope I am right in this case

comment Errors and Unnatural Language in a Translation Challenge
@NS.X. That's what I feel as a native speaker. I agree that it's formal and maybe academic, but so it is with the original sentence, and even though, it still could be authentic. Do you have any clues saying it's anti-authentic, if you do, could you share the reference please?

@NS.X. Authenticity and accuracy can be both achieved. 在玛格丽特混饮中掺了化肥 still sounds very like native speaking. If I hear this sentence out of a movie, I won't feel any odds.

This is usually a positive word.

There is an article (in Chinese) illustrates well how prepositions are omitted sometimes:
