comment How to improve my Chinese writing
In my personal experience, writing Chinese, or Chinese calligraphy, is one of the few skills that's completely based on practice and has few to none moments you feel suddenly enlightened and your writing skill improves automatically. Even the top calligraphers need to prepare and keep practicing each character one by one.

comment Regional variations of “柴米油盐酱醋茶”
Thanks for the answer. I am aware of the 4-character version 柴米油盐. I am particularly interested in variations of the 7-character version, do you know if there is one? As of 锅碗瓢盆, it may be equally important for daily life but it's not really a variation of 柴米油盐. I would prefer to say they compliment each other.

comment Informed sources for videos of Chinese movies
I've got the same struggle but with U.S. movies (for English subtitle). None of the seller/provider catalogs contain this information. It seems the only reliable source is the physical disc case.

comment how to correctly translate 我想你
"我想你在这个夜里" sounds awkward to my ears. It may work in poetic context like in poems and lyrics, but not in common conversation or writing.

comment Is it gan3 ding3 she is saying in this sentence? Audio clip
@Steve 那 and 就 both suggest this sentence is affirming/echoing something said earlier instead of asking a question, so it must be 吧.

Not very important but the audio said '那我们*就*赶紧去这个博物馆吧'. 就 is missed in this answer.

@Stan 'nonstop' or 'tireless(ly)' would work:)

comment What's the difference between 不停 and 不斷?
@Stan 断 in 不断 can also be active voice 'to take break' in many common cases, like 不断学习, 不断进步, 音乐不断, 不断犯错误.

comment How to differentiate “radical plus 0 strokes” characters?
It is a fact that Kangxi Dictionary listed them under the same radical, which seems completely pictographic based and semantically irrelevant, but there might be a linguistic interpretation behind it, which is what OP is looking for.

Personally I would call them like what the page says, 'assimilation of a similar but originally distinct radicals'. Don't know if there is a terminology though.
