comment Why is 情结 used here?
The first sentence in your answer sounds confusing. 情节 does translate to "plot"; the original sentence is clearly a typo.

comment Asking “which language do you speak?” on the phone
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because your question appears to be in English. Try asking on ELL instead.

comment When to omit the modifying 的?
Maybe you should work on getting the first sentence and its translation right before asking the one below.

comment What's the Most Likely Chinese Version of this Odd “Chinglish”?
-1. I thought this is a site for learning Chinese language. Since when did it become a site for learning how mangled English came into being? Only the author of that poster slogan will know the answer to your question.

comment Why is Zhenya Wang's surname in English “Wang” but sometimes pronounced “Wong”?
Your reasoning is not correct. Many people born in the early 1900s are illiterate and do not know how to speak Mandarin. They speak their own dialect, which could be Cantonese, Hokkien or Teochew. The names are transcribed according to their dialect. This is quite common in places where the working language is English. Nowadays the trend is towards pinyin transcription since fewer people can speak dialect.

comment How do you say “I know that I don't know”?
It is obvious that you know you don't know when you say "I don't know". Just say "我不知道" or "我并不知道" if you want to emphasize your ignorance on the subject.

comment Etymology of 至关(重要)
至关重要 is not considered an idiom (chengyu) but a phrase consisting of separate words. So I guess you won't be able to find an etymology for it. I can find half a million Google results for 至关作用 and 至关因素. Maybe it is not that rare.

comment Character Gaps On Comic Conversation : 6
There are more productive ways to do this like installing an OCR software and scanning the comic using a higher resolution. This is not even a translation problem as your title suggests.

comment Character Gaps On Comic Conversation : 6
Your problem is difficulty with seeing characters. This has nothing to do with Chinese language. You just need to zoom in to enlarge the characters to see them. What you are doing now is littering the site with same comic questions and asking people to read for you. I don't think this is how the site should be utilized.

Voting to close. Google translate, hand writing option is the correct tool for this.

comment The translation of “Karma”
@suud, they are somehow related but not quite the same. 宿命 refers to the present outcome whereas karma or 业报 refers to past actions. The Buddhist believe that past actions affect present outcome. Whether it is proper or improper depends on the context. As correctly pointed out by Ma Ming, this word is more neutral, whereas 报应 and 孽 shows a level of grudge or vindictiveness on the speaker, which would not be very appropriate in normal circumstances.

comment The translation of “Karma”
@suud, the two word version is 宿命 - predestination. This is a different concept from karma.

comment the meaning of 算什么 in 《我爱台妹》
台妹 does not mean Taiwanese girls. It is the female version of 台客 - a Taiwanese country bumpkin. The song is an expression of the singer's affection towards 台妹 in contrast to the more sophisticated city girls like the two celebrities.

comment What is the difference between 绿 and 青?
@Rephinx, no, no. I never dispute the historical meaning of 青. If you want to take all that into consideration, you can never assign a single colour to it as it has several meanings. I don't believe that it is a mistake made by Wikipedia, but something that people has taken into consideration to create a new meaning for this word which would otherwise be discarded due to its ambiguity.

comment What is the difference between 绿 and 青?
@Rephinx, both Wikipedia and Baidu says exactly the same thing. To imply that both are wrong is like 一竹竿打翻整船人.
