comment When you use 在 with a time, where does 在 go in the sentence?
"Im Chinese, but not from China". What do you mean? You're of Chinese heritage but grew up in another country? Born in another country? Is Chinese your mother tongue?

Welcome to Chinese SE @user4018. The idea is to keep all the information publicly available here. If the person who posted the question have further questions related to your answer he/she can post comments here. You can then edit your answer to make it more clear. No need to be apologetic for bad English. Others can suggest improvements to your answer. For example improve the language.

comment Are Chinese language equivalent of English /p/ and /b/ sounds the same?
Perhaps this is a local issue, such as people in southern China having difficulties differentiating n and l? Or perhaps OP mean't n and l? Haven't heard of anyone having difficulties differentiating b and p.

comment Tool which can convert web pages from Hanzi to either Pinyin or Zhuyin Fuhao
@Xephon There's thousands of services doing it for inputted text, there's no reason why it wouldn't work for websites. Sure there might be flaws, but that's only natural for a free online translation tool.

comment Should the term 廁所 (bathroom) be used for both a home and public toilet?
This question had been downvoted twice when I came here. Would be kind of downvoters to leave constructive feedback on how to improve the question. Personally I see no big issue.

@hippietrail It's a good idea, and I'd love to. I don't know the answer to this question though.

comment Is 了 optional when a time word is present?
@JonHargett it was not an answer to the question, I was trying to explain that in your example sentence 了 don't contribute to the sentence, thus you're asking whether it's necessary to include.

Is it just me, or is it a trend on Chinese SE to write unnecessarily long answers?

He said in the question that the time is already included in the sentence, so 了 does not contribute anything to the meaning of his example sentence.
