perhaps you could mention something about the "shortening" of the 一 in 一个. In normally paced speech it becomes so short that the tone is irrelevant. Like English "this is for you" being pronounced "this is f'you", 一个人 sounds to me much more like "y'ge rén" (yes I am aware this is not valid pinyin :)
